  19. DESCRIPTION
  20.  
  21.      Ami2D forms the core of a collection of codes developed
  22.      to perform various analyses on structures using the
  23.      finite element technique.  Specifically, Ami2D is a
  24.      pre/post-processor used to create two dimensional
  25.      finite element models and to interpret the results from
  26.      subsequent solutions.  It was developed to handle both
  27.      "plane" and axisymmetric two dimensional finite element
  28.      analysis problems.  It is a fairly general capability
  29.      in the sense that a wide variety of two dimensional
  30.      problems can be modeled by Ami2D.  Other codes are
  31.      included to provide a fairly complete analysis
  32.      capability.  These codes include the solvers (Lin2D and
  33.      Nln2D), a node equivilence code (Equ2D), a node order
  34.      optimizer (Opt2D), and a couple of ancillary codes
  35.      (Rexxcon and Rexxbar).

  37. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  38.  
  39.      The minimum system requirements for running the codes
  40.      are:  A 68020 processor or better, 68881 floating point
  41.      processor or better, AmigaDOS 2.04 or higher, ARexx and
  42.      at least 2 megabytes of free RAM.  Optionally, a hard
  43.      drive and lots more memory are highly desirable.
